Convert HEIC/HEIF, JPG, PNG and WebP images into JPG, PNG or WebP entirely on your own computer. All files are processed inside the browser. No photo upload, accounts, tracking or backend.
JPG, PNG and WebP need no decoder download. If your browser cannot read HEIC/HEIF natively, FlipFormat attempts to load a local decoder, and otherwise automatically downloads the pinned third-party heic2any v0.0.4 library from jsDelivr when you click Convert images. There is no separate enable button. This decoder is large (about 38 MB), so its first download may take some time. Subsequent loads may use the browser cache.
All photos stay on your device: neither Chemisode nor the CDN receives the photos. The third-party CDN receives a request for the library. The library is not included in this release ZIP, so first-time HEIC use requires internet access. If you need a genuinely self-hosted HEIC converter, use the included Windows or Mac/Linux setup script on an internet-connected computer. It verifies and splits the library into assets smaller than the Cloudflare Pages 25 MiB per-file limit before you re-ZIP and deploy. Consider your school's privacy requirements when using third-party code.
HEIC decoder: heic2any (MIT licence) by Alex Corvi. ZIP generation: JSZip (MIT/GPLv3), included locally. Conversion also uses native browser Canvas APIs.
This package was created for private, local use. Browser support and individual HEIC variants may differ; test several representative photos before relying on bulk output.
